And the winner is........

For the second year in a row the Collingwood Historical Society has been successful at the Victorian Community History Awards! This year Karen T. Cummings' Bitter roots, sweet fruit: a history of schools in Collingwood, Abbotsford and Clifton Hill published by the Society was winner in the Best Community Research, Registers and Records Category. Karen's work was commended for its thorough research and described as "a very fine book" by the judges.

We can attest that it is a very fine book and are very proud of Karen's research and writing and that the Society has published it. Well done, Karen!! Karen is pictured below left with Caroline Hogg who launched Bitter roots, sweet fruit for the Collingwood Historical Society.
